Tony Portal is a principal in Reznick Group’s tax practice, based in the firm’s Charlotte office. He is an authority on tax compliance and a real estate tax consultant with more than 20 years of professional experience. He provides taxation, tax planning, strategic planning, and advisory services to clients in industries that include real estate, manufacturing, professional sports, and hospitality. Tony has extensive knowledge of partnership tax law, construction industry taxation, low-income housing and historic tax credits.

Tony is responsible for the overall tax planning and final review of all individual, corporate and partnership tax. He has successfully represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service both at the audit and appeals level.  Prior to joining Reznick Group, Tony was a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service in Washington D.C., where he supervised and conducted field examinations of corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships.
