
Based in Reznick Group’s Sacramento office, Jeanne Peterson has experience providing a wide range of financial and policy advisory services to the affordable housing industry. She assists developers in obtaining housing tax credits and tax-exempt bond financing through deal structuring, application preparation and review, assembling of 8609 packages, and liaising with HUD, PHAs, and state housing finance agencies. She also consults in policy development, program administration, and strategic planning with partners, including nonprofit and for-profit developers, public agencies, syndicators, owners, lenders, and investors.
Prior to joining Reznick Group in 2004, Jeanne was Executive Director of the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC), where she made considerable changes to the system for tax credit allocation in California, the largest state credit agency in the country. Approximately 100,000 apartments were created or preserved in California using housing tax credits during that time. She also worked for many years at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) where she first was a staff attorney and ultimately, General Counsel/Director of Legal Affairs. Jeanne is a frequent speaker and writer on affordable housing matters.
