Paul Raffensperger, Office Managing Principal

Paul Raffensperger has more than 25 years of experience in both public and private accounting, consulting, and program management. He currently serves as Office Managing Principal for Reznick Government.

Paul leads firm engagements focused on organizational and business process development. These engagements often focus on technology assessment and development, work flows and procedures, process improvement, internal controls, budgeting processes, and financial and management reporting. Paul plays an active role in all aspects of his engagements, including pre-engagement planning, interviews and fieldwork, data analysis, report development, and final presentations.

Prior to joining Reznick Government, Paul held accounting and financial positions as project accountant, cost engineer, and assistant controller for a billion-dollar general contractor. The services and experience in these positions included a large number of program and project oversight activities for contract compliance audits, technology planning, and management/operational review services for government contractors, construction, property management, development, and non-profit clients.

Paul has served as a Project Manager for Reznick Government engagements with the Texas Development of Housing and Community Affairs, State of Mississippi, and State of Louisiana disaster housing grant programs distributing CDBG funds to homeowners affected by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma.

He applied his extensive project management experience and knowledge in overseeing all aspects of project, including full compliance with federal, state, and local policies governing CDBG distribution. Under these programs he oversaw the design of program policy and program requirements, establishment of the Project Management Offices (PMO), implementation of quality control and assurance programs, and development of approaches for application verification, grant approval, applicant notification, issue resolution, payment preparation, payment processing, and closeout.
