Peter Schablik, CPA, CISA, Principal

With 23 years of public accounting industry experience, Peter Schablik is a principal in Reznick Group’s Boston office where he serves as the financial services advisory leader. He is focused on providing services to a wide range of financial services clients, notably regional and community banks. These services include project management, risk consulting, information technology and internal audit outsource and co-source initiatives. In addition, Peter is responsible for business process, information technology and internal controls consulting for our affordable housing, commercial real estate and non-profit practices.

Prior to joining Reznick Group, Peter led integrated process, compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley and IT internal audits for regional banking clients, providing strategic advisory services designed to improve processes, counter deficiencies, and stabilize operations. As a partner at Grant Thornton LLP in Seattle, he established and led the firm’s Pacific Northwest business advisory services practice, focusing on internal audit outsourcing/co-sourcing, SAS 70 standards, M&A due diligence reviews, and project management services. Prior to Grant Thornton, Peter established the Technology Risk Consulting (TRC) practice at Arthur Andersen LLP in Boston where he developed a community banking practice that provided TRC services to more than 40 financial institutions.
