Rich Mahan, CPA, Principal

Rich Mahan is a principal with Reznick Group and has more than 18 years of experience in private industry and public accounting. Based in the firm's Bethesda office, he serves a variety of clients including automobile dealerships, construction companies, developers, syndicators, mortgage companies and other lenders, wholesale distributors, retailers, government contractors, nonprofit associations, chartered schools and more.

Rich has experience managing day-to-day activities including review and evaluation of internal control systems for audit planning and accurate financial reporting, supervision and review of all engagement team audit and tax work, identification, preparation of financial statements to ensure in compliance with all accounting standards and the preparation of a management letter communicating any internal control or operational inefficiencies noted that would help the organization improve their financial reporting and/or operational functions. Prior to joining Reznick Group, Rich worked as a VP of Finance for a number of financially stressed companies and his efforts resulted in improved financial reporting systems, improved operational activities and, in some instances, a successful financial turn-around.
