Jason Cordon, Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP


Jason Cordon is Of Counsel in Morris, Manning & Martin’s Corporate, Funds & Alternative Investments, Real Estate Capital Markets and Tax Practices.  Mr. Cordon works with both U.S. and foreign clients to advise them regarding the international, federal and state tax aspects of a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, dispositions, spin-offs, and restructurings.  He also provides counsel regarding the formation of and investment in a variety of private equity and other investment funds including major corporate venture capital, tax credit and real estate transactions.

Mr. Cordon devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono work.  He has worked with the Pro Bono Partnership to provide pro bono services to numerous local organizations and nonprofits, including the Center for Financial Independence & Innovation Inc., Georgia Justice Project, Fund for Southern Communities and A Self-Help Assistance Program, Inc.

Mr. Cordon received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Campbell University.  He passed the CPA exam in May 2002.

Mr. Cordon is honored in Legal 500 2011, a leading legal ranking publication, for his work with Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and was awarded the 2008 Law Firm Volunteer of the Year Award by the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
