Financial Structuring and Reporting

Reznick Group can help you raise the maximum capital within your transaction budget. In doing this, we help identify and create financial structures that complement power purchase agreements (PPAs), tax equity finance, debt and other financial incentives while addressing counterparty risk.

Our financial structuring services extend to the entire renewable energy supply chain including product manufacturers, project developers, electricity generators, unregulated offtakers, utilities, and investors who are seeking to raise or invest funds for start-up operations, ongoing operations, and project development (e.g. wind farms, solar installations).

Financial Reporting Services
Reznick Group offers the following examination and certification reports for renewable energy project developers and investors:

  • Reznick Group Renewable Energy Examination: RREx Report
For renewable energy projects financed by third party entities and supported by power purchase agreements, each financial transaction is based on a foundation of financial, technological and legal assumptions specific to the renewable energy Industry. The RREx Report is a pre-certification examination designed to ensure a power producer is capable of meeting offtaker and investor expectations. Independent power producers and developers can then submit this report to investors, lenders and off-takers.
  • Reznick Group Renewable Energy Diligence: RREd Report
The RREd Report is an independent verification of facts and seller representations with a focus on the respective technology. It serves to demonstrate an investor's due care in the transaction and a good faith effort to minimize risks within reasonable time and budgetary constraints. Through our RREd Report service, we conduct an assessment of the potential risks of a proposed renewable energy project investment and evaluate the relevant aspects of the asset or project company being acquired.
