Reznick Group Co-underwrites Corporate Sustainability Rankings

Lee PetersonMay 11, 2010 (Atlanta, Ga) – In collaboration with GreenBusiness WORKS, Reznick Group and Mark Callaway with The Callaway Boone Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney have issued the first ever Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings on May 11.

Motivated to help Southeastern companies with their sustainability efforts as well as to create awareness, the Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings is a custom regional rankings that takes into account the environmental, social and governance factors and policies of 280 public-held companies headquartered throughout the Southeastern U.S.

"We're hopeful that the Rankings will affect laws and policies at the state level, especially in Georgia, where adoption of clean energy faces many barriers," said Lee Peterson, senior tax manager, Reznick Group. "We can look to our neighbors in Florida and to a lesser degree, North Carolina, and see how well their clean energy programs are working compatibly with long-standing power supply methods used in the US."

Also having developed the rankings for the Green 500 ratings for Newsweek magazine, KLD Research & Analytics, Inc. were commissioned to develop the methodology and analyze the Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings.
