John Mackey is now among prior Congressmen and the Harvard housing elite who have been awarded the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association's (NH&RA) Vision Award – an award reserved for champions of the affordable housing industry. The prestigious award was initiated in 2004 and is presented annually to leaders who are trailblazers in the effort to provide affordable housing to Americans – and "John Mackey" says NH&RA's President and CEO Peter Bell "has helped deliver tens of thousands of safe, affordable homes to low-income residents all over the country."
John Mackey, a principal in Reznick Group's real estate transactions practice, is a recognized leader in the affordable housing industry with more than 30 years of accounting and business advisory experience. John has extensive experience working on hundreds of low-income tax credit transactions related to long-range planning, structuring new real estate transactions and helping clients realize value from older properties.
Regarded as a national foremost expert on structuring low-income, historic, new markets and state tax credit transactions, NH&RA Executive Director Thom Amdur notes, "John is one of the affordable housing industry's unsung heroes. As an advisor to developers, John has quietly guided hundreds of transactions serving thousands of low-income residents to completion.
