The article was published on RenewablesBiz.com, an online source of news, insights, analysis, community and employment related to the business of renewable energy.
The article focused on the struggle renewable energy projects would have in 2012, due in large part to the end of the 1603 cash grant and the upcoming expiration of the production tax credit (PTC). The stall in renewable energy legislation combined with unfavorable market conditions is making project development difficult. Matt is quoted in the article as suggesting alliances and joint ventures are becoming more enticing to investors who are using the PTC and simply adjusting their return expectations to be more in line with the current market.
